My device is a Nortek R1 aik is the same hardware as Emtec R700 right ?

a couple of questions:

I'm a linux user and I have no windows installation ... this tool works properly with wine but I like expand, modify and repack the firmware direct on linux, where can I find a tutorial ?

I'll like to compile some kernel modules to use unionfs, an USB DVT adapter and my wireless USB stick ... where can I find the kernel headers or a .config to compile my kernel modules

where the device save the settings (tv out resolution etc.) and how can I change the settings from shell ?

Unfortunately MM-HRDL (and others) uses a somewhat "old" jffs2 layout that I can extract but not easily recreate, so "/usr/local/etc" extraction is currently disabled in my tool...
but if you're willing to do some "crash-test" on your device, we could try to support this too

Hi all.
I see that EMCXT works for Q500 and Q800. Will it work for a Q700 ?
I've downloaded firmware 519 for Q700 and Q800 (V6.2.1262) and they have the same MD5 checksum.

So if I choose Q800/V2 in EMCXT, will it work ?

Well, I was referring to EMC eXTender 2.1.1 and not to EMC eXTractor 1.0.
I wanted to try the wizard, first.
So, to be more specific : will the wizard in eXTender work with Q700 ?

I gave it a quick try the other day, but I've never seen a .bin file on my R700 or on the Emtec firmware downloads - what am i doing wrong??!! Thanks in advance.
