Due to insuffisent time i stoped my try but here is my result for now.

Compilation success with mediagiant source. (i already described how)

Replacement off main.o by my own main.cpp success. (modified version off another main.cpp found in the source)

Launch video with my own procedure success. But need some more tweak like adjust proportion, modify resolution etc...

Until now my attemtp to do my own program initialisation code failled but work in progress when i have more time.

The source provided by Ellion is interesting too. Like i said iam sure we have enought code to do something realy interesting but need more devellopers and more time to understaind this black box (rtd12xx)

The Ellion source seems to be an almost complete source to the rtd1261. I wish I had a RTD1261, RTD1262 or RTD1282.
I successfully recompiled everything there and run the DvdPlayer on my RTD1073, most of the initialisation text seems fine but I got blank screen, looks like it's incompatible. :(

Can anyone try the Ellion source on the rtd1261? to see if it actually works or not?

any chance you might get the same stuff for a RTD1073?
it's much more complete than the mediagiant, the DvdPlayer source is there and can be compiled. but my RTD1073 cant run it. :(

Thought I'd mention.... I got the ellion source working on my 1282 device (Iomega ScreenPlay Pro HD).

After getting it working, I then tried to convert the remote codes over to work with my remote. And suddenly I wasn't getting anything except a black screen. Completely reversed out all of my changes and was still getting a black screen so I knew it wasn't related to my changes.

I finally got it working again by deleting /usr/local/etc/dvdplayer/VenusSetup.dat (I don't remember if that was the exact filename or not, but it's something very similar to that if it isn't that one).

Once I did that, then I was able to start it again with ./DvdPlayer -f NTSC
and it worked. I assume you also copied the RESOURCE directory down from the ellion open source.

Oh, and by the way, yes I did get it reading my remote control.

Also, trying to compile the DvdPlayer extracted from the original tarball, I was getting errors initially. I've documented what I had to do to get around each of them in my blog, but I'm curious as to how you got around each of those same errors. Specifically, where you got your Tools/MConfig from. I used the one from the conceptronic sources.

Hi Everyone,

I might not be posting in the most appropriate of topics here, but I have a major problem:

I have a WesternDigital 1.5TB hard drive (Caviar Green, WD15EADS-00P8B0).

I have put it into my RTD1261 mediaplayer, an Emtec Movie Cuce R-100 nd it starts athe intall procedure, but after half a minute it says: "Install error. Please reboot."
I cannot get my new HDD to work in this media player. I have tried both PC and pendrive install as well, with the same result.

I have looked through most of the meterial known to be on the net but nothing has come up regarding space constraints or incompatibility. Previously I used a Samsung F1 1TB HDD and all worked like a charm.

Can any of you help me how to get this issue fixed, please.

I've copied some of the classes that missed on the Ellion source from the conceptronic sources, including the PassthroughClass

The compliation stage works ok but on linking stage I get:

From this error I guess that the conceptronc sources are newer /different  than the ellion ones, as it seems that some functions requires more

parameters like

 

PassthroughClass :: StepTuneFreq (TV_CHANNEL_PARAM *params, int pStep)

vs

HRESULT PassthroughClass::StepTuneFreq (int step);

and some functions are missing.

Had anyone encountered / solved this problem?

Hi all,

I started to download the sourcecode and toolchain from http://download.conceptronic.net/GNU-GPL/CM3Gxx. The downloads were ok except 1 file from the toolchain. The file inc_lib0808.tar.bz2 can´t be found by the server. I get an 404 error. Does any body have a copy of this file?

based on the sources and libraries published by asus and Jomans work for the screenplay i was able to develop a standalone player program for the rtd1073. I do not have the time to develop a complete DvdPlayer replacement, so i am
seeking for advice and volunteers to start a open source project for the rtd1073 to share my knowledge.
